Certex Norway is covered by the Openness Act, which aims to promote businesses respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services. Certex Norway wants to facilitate the public's access to information related to how any negative consequences for basic human rights and decent working conditions are handled by us.

Certex Norway acts as a responsible and sustainable player in society. We have established a strategy, guidelines and routines to ensure that respect for basic human rights, decent working conditions and environmental sustainability is exercised in line with OECD guidelines and the Openness Act. Objectives and guidelines are anchored in the management and implemented in the organization through our instructions and established routines. Certex has developed an adapted risk assessment process that is used to be able to identify and manage any risks related to sustainability and social responsibility. This includes working with suppliers and partners to ensure that their operations also meet the same standards, as well as dialogue with stakeholders to ensure that sustainability and social responsibility practices and initiatives are effective and meet the highest standards. Certex Norway regularly communicates our sustainability initiatives and progress in this area through public reports and other channels.

The work is based on systematic mapping and risk assessment, as well as ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the business's, suppliers, supply chain's and partners' impact on the environment, society and human rights. Below is a summary showing the current status of our key indicators:

Reports for due diligence assessments

Certex Norge works continuously to map and analyze identified risks related to possible negative consequences for basic human rights and decent working conditions. Our analyzes are updated regularly and any new conditions that are uncovered are continuously evaluated. Any changes in the risk picture are captured through our supplier analyzes and for any new connections, these are qualified in line with our procedures before they are possibly approved and introduced into the business.

Certex Norge's overall assessment of the risk picture is presented below. By risk we mean here the probability that there are negative conditions that violate basic human rights or decent working conditions. Based on our analyses, the focus is initially on implementing due diligence assessments relating to our suppliers and supply chains. The first priority in this work has been to obtain information from any actors in risk countries, as defined by our parent company Axel Johnson through their "Guideline for Sustainability in Supply Chain 2.2"

Certex Norway has implemented due diligence assessments based on identified risks of negative impact on human rights and decent working conditions. The assessment carried out has so far not revealed any actual negative consequences. The objective is that all approved suppliers and business partners of Certex Norway must sign our CoC and that all high-risk cases must be subject to a due diligence assessment.
