Several DYNICE ropes are made of Dyneema®, the world's strongest man-made fiber. This results in a significant reduction in the rope's weight on deck. For example, a 56 mm steel wire rope with a WLL of 38 tons weighs 41 tons on deck, whereas a 56 mm DYNICE Deep-sea rope with the same WLL weighs only 6 tons. This considerable weight saving makes the rope much easier to handle.
