Lifting KnowHow Logo

Similar to lifting beams, spreader beams are also two-dimensional lifting devices. However, unlike lifting beams, spreader beams primarily experience buckling forces rather than bending, and are designed to handle these forces statically. This design eliminates compressive forces on the load, providing greater protection. Spreader beams are often lighter and more cost-effective than lifting beams.

The downside is their significantly greater overall height, but this extra height also offers an advantage by reducing swaying, allowing the load to hang more steadily during lifting operations.
